In order to compete in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Season, the Live Fast Motorsports team will change manufacturers.
The team will run the No. 78 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 upcoming season as it switches from Ford to Chevrolet, which is co-owned by Matt Tifft, B.J. McLeod, and Joe Falk.
ECR Engines will provide them with further engine service.
“Our team is excited to make this transition to Chevrolet,” said McLeod, co-owner and driver at Live Fast Motorsports. “Chevrolet Camaros have proven great success on the track and Live Fast Motorsports is looking forward to becoming a part of this advance.”
This past season, McLeod took part in 29 of the 36 races while running a number of different racers in the road course competitions and the Bristol Dirt Race. McLeod’s seventh-place finish at the Daytona 400-miler earlier this year was their strongest performance.
“We’re looking forward to racing for Chevrolet, the winningest manufacturer in NASCAR,” said Matt Tifft, co-owner of Live Fast Motorsports. “We’ll also be getting engine support from ECR engines, and we know our program will benefit from their technologies and power under the hood.”
A total of 36 chartered teams have joined the Chevrolet camp, including Live Fast Motorsports the 16th.
