Kyle Larson will celebrate his 2021 NASCAR Cup Series title in his hometown of Elk Grove, California on Monday.
The event is free and open to the public, and it is hosted by the city and Sonoma Raceway.
It will begin at 2:00 p.m. local time in Elk Grove with a parade down Elk Grove Boulevard (beginning around the intersection of Elk Grove Boulevard and Florin Road), followed by a procession to Old Town Plaza, where Larson will be joined by local officials and racing fans.
Larson went to Elk Grove’s Pleasant Grove High School. During his Cup rookie season in 2014, he got Elk Grove’s “Key to the City” award.
Larson and Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott are scheduled to compete in a USAC midget event this weekend in Placerville, California, prior to Monday’s celebration.
