The event was put under warning one lap after the green flag was raised when Tyler Reddick spun in Turn 1 after making a collision with Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

The race was red flagged while it was still under caution because there had been multiple lightning strikes within four miles of the Madison, Ill.

Pole-winner The race was stopped with Kyle Busch still in the lead. Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr., and Kevin Harvick came after him.

A 30-minute hold is necessary if lightning strikes occur within eight miles of the track, rain or shine.

On Sunday afternoon, many thunderstorms formed near the track, but as of 4:15 p.m. ET, it had not rained there.
