Mercedes’ hearing in Brazil has been scheduled by the stewards

The stewards’ hearing for Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes has been confirmed ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Following an examination into Lewis Hamilton’s car, the stewards have set a time for Mercedes to be summoned at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

After Hamilton was referred for a possible Drag Reduction System (DRS) infringement following Friday’s qualifying, it has been announced that a team representative would be needed to attend a hearing at 10:30 local time, which is 13:30 in the United Kingdom and 14:30 in much of Europe.

When FIA F1 Technical Delegate Jo Bauer examined Hamilton’s W12 car, issues arose. As a result, his rear wing was impounded overnight in preparation for the Saturday hearing.

On Saturday, the stewards will discuss more than Hamilton’s case. Max Verstappen, a title competitor, was also summoned to the stewards for an alleged violation of the FIA International Sporting Code concerning parc ferme conditions.

After qualifying, the Dutchman was spotted on fan footage touching Hamilton’s rear wing. As a result, Verstappen and a Red Bull official were called to see the stewards in a hearing before Hamilton’s.

Mercedes could use Verstappen’s actions as evidence in their own case, according to reports.
