McLaren won the second practice race at Zandvoort in a thrilling finish.
Max Verstappen’s Friday perfect sweep was spoiled by Lando Norris, who set the quickest time in the second practice session for the Dutch Grand Prix.
Only 0.023 seconds separated the McLaren racer from the home favourite, who had been in control after FP1.
Verstappen had trouble in constructing a clean lap while using the Soft tyres, experiencing a sudden oversteer when exiting the Turn 3 banking.

Alex Albon, who finished third in the second hour and finished within three tenths of Briton Lando Norris, helped Williams follow up its remarkable FP1 performance.
However, Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo of Australia crashed out at Turn 3 simultaneously, though independently, after only 10 minutes of racing.
While Ricciardo crashed in sympathy behind Piastri, picking up pain in his hand as he gripped onto the steering wheel through impact, Piastri dropped the back end of his McLaren on entry to the banking, suffering damage to both the front and rear of the MCL60.
Racers began their qualifying simulation runs immediately following the 12-minute red flag period, and Norris won.
Albon’s timing shows a modest fuel load, whereas Verstappen’s lap time would have been fastest had it gone smoothly.
AlphaTauri’s Yuki Tsunoda and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly were both passed by Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, who finished fourth.
While Lance Stroll rebounded from a power unit problem during the first hour to produce the eighth-fastest time, even if he did take a turn through the Turn 12 gravel trap, Sergio Perez was 7th in an uneventful day for the second Red Bull.
While the Ferraris struggled for pace, Valtteri Bottas finished ninth for Alfa Romeo ahead of Fernando Alonso.
While making two trips to the gravel, Charles Leclerc finished only 11th while Carlos Sainz, who replaced Robert Shwartzman in FP1, finished only 16th.
