Yuki Tsunoda thinks that even though Sebastian Vettel has given up Formula 1 racing, the four-time World Champion would be the perfect fit for a higher position within the auto racing world.

For a potential administrative position in the Red Bull F1 organization, Yuki Tsunoda thinks Sebastian Vettel is the best fit.

After a 15-year career in which he won four World Championships, all of which were achieved with Red Bull between 2010 and 2013, Vettel left racing at the end of the 2022 season.

Recent rumors have suggested that Vettel might make a senior comeback to Formula 1, and Tsunoda has supported the prospect of the German taking another role, especially one in which he could mentor junior racers.

When asked about the possibility of Sebastian Vettel managing a team in Formula 1, Tsunoda said that Vettel would be an ideal fit for the kind of position now held by Helmut Marko, an advisor for Red Bull.

The AlphaTauri racer thought it would be fascinating to observe how Sebastian would lead the team.

“He can be anything. For example, what Helmut Marko is doing now with Red Bull juniors.

“I think Sebastian would also be very good at taking care of Red Bull juniors because he’s one of the most successful drivers in Formula 1.”

Vettel’s influence on driver briefings

Tsunoda thinks that Vettel’s readiness to speak up at racer briefings while he was a Formula 1 racer also demonstrates the abilities he may bring to a managerial or mentoring position.

“I can tell from all the race briefings from last year before qualifying, he always said the points where we have to improve in terms of track, the kerb or something like that,” Tsunoda continued.

“He was the first guy to raise his hands so I think Sebastian can be that guy.”

Despite Aston Martin’s early success in 2023, Vettel has claimed that he has absolutely no regrets about leaving Formula 1. He is yet to settle on his next career path.
