2024 F1 preseason testing: When, where, and who will be driving?
As has been customary, formal on-track running will start with testing at the Bahrain International Circuit as the F1 pre-season testing of 2024 comes near.
The three-day test will give an early indication of which teams appear strong and which need to work out their problems before the season’s opening race at the same location next week.
Is it possible for someone to choose Red Bull, Max Verstappen, and both titles? On February 21–23, we will receive our first pieces of information.
When does preseason testing for Formula One take place?
Pre-season testing is scheduled to occur in Bahrain on the dates shown above. The season-opening venue will host, replacing Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which has done so for the past few seasons.
Instead of using the Spanish venue’s somewhat cooler winter temperature, this enables teams to test new machinery under representative conditions.
Similar to the previous season, squads are only allowed to conduct three days of testing prior to the start of the season, however practice runs are permitted during the days allotted for shooting. Running up to 200 kilometers is possible with this.

Racing lineups tested during the F1 preseason
With every driver looking to maximize their limited time behind the wheel, the pre-season testing driver lineups will mirror the confirmed grid for the next season.
Each contender will be limited to one and a half days of testing; some motorists will complete three half days of testing, while others will do one full day and then another.
There are no new faces to look out for in the F1 grid for the upcoming season, but there will be no shortage of topics to talk about due to recent market movements.
