According to Jenson Button, a documentary tracing Brawn GP’s 2009 championship triumph is now under production.
Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion, has revealed a documentary about his remarkable title-winning race would premiere on Disney+.
After Ross Brawn acquired the remnants of the Honda squad for one pound sterling and led it to the Constructors’ Championship and the Drivers’ Championship, the 2009 season will forever be remembered in Formula One and in the history of racing.
Brawn placed a Mercedes engine and gearbox into a car that was initially intended for Honda gadgets, and via Button, they immediately won six of the opening seven races.
Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull attempted a late comeback at the Brazilian Grand Prix, but Button and Brawn held them off.
Mercedes owned the squad before the 2010 season.
Button will collaborate on a project for Disney
15-time Grand Prix champion posts on Instagram. The four-part documentary will air on Disney+, according to Button.
The show’s tagline is “Brawn: The One Pound Formula 1 Team.”
However, Button noted that the series would be “coming soon” without specifying a release date.
