IN JEREZ, ANDREA DOVIZIOSO FINISHED THREE DAYS OF WORK ON THE RS-GP.
He has now completed the test. Here’s what he has to say about his own personal experience.
Andrea Dovizioso returned to the track for the first time in four months from the 12th to 14th of April. It had been a long day of work. They were mostly concerned with the necessary adaption between the bike and the rider.
Throughout the three-day period Andrea has steadily and favorably developed his understanding of a brand-new bike for him, and he has begun to give the technicians numerous indications.
Andrea has worked on all areas of the RS-GP, including the engine, electronics, chassis, and aerodynamics, with his usual rigour and analyticity.
He increased his performance and confidence on the motorcycle after receiving vital information and making improvements to the basic package.
Chronometric accuracy was never a goal. Because this was not one of the test’s objectives, neither adaptation allowed it.
Aprilia Racing and Andrea Dovizioso 2021 will build on their success in Jerez with a further test at Mugello on the 11th and 12th of May.
As a result, we’re on a track with a variety of qualities. Andrea will ride a more advanced bike based on what she learned on the Andalusian course.
Andrea Dovizioso 2021:
“It was a great emotion to get back on a MotoGP bike, and for this, I want to thank Aprilia Racing.
It was an enjoyable three days, primarily dedicated to finding the best position on the bike.
Together we decided to do another test at Mugello in about a month. In the meantime, work on some aspects of the bike”.
