He said he has currently fallen in love with go-karting and also has been competing Afghanistan professional Exclusive Mark Allen, 30, also a double amputee.

Both struck up a bond and the other day Tony led out a charity race at the Karting for Heroes event at the Daytona Outdoor Go-Karting track at Sandown Park, Kart Racing Esher, Surrey.

Mark served with the 1st Royal Anglian Regiment and shed both his legs in 2010 when he stepped on an improvisated explosive device in Helmand province.

Mark, from Wiltshire, stated: “Tony is a really unique little chap. As quickly as he saw the karts going round, Kart Racing you need to have seen his face– it was obvious he wished to be out there.”.
