Chris Buescher earns pole in NASCAR Cup qualifying at Dover

In Saturday’s NASCAR Cup Series test session at Dover Motor Speedway, Chris Buescher surprised everyone by claiming pole.

Buescher will be making his 233rd NCS start, and this will be his first pole. Since Talladega in May 2017, RFK Racing hasn’t begun a race from the front row.

Denny Hamlin will lead Toyota from the outside of the front row. Kyle Larson finished third for Chevrolet.

Unlike the practise session before it, neither round of qualifying saw any accidents.
