In Bahrain, the first day of preseason testing for Formula One 2023 got under way with Max Verstappen setting the fastest timings.
The Red Bull racer completed 71 laps in the morning and established a record with a lap of 1:32.959.
The second-placed driver, Carlos Sainz, was 0.294 seconds slower than Alex Albon, who set the third-fastest time.
The three-day test will begin in Bahrain with a second session at 12:15 GMT.
