For the 2023 season, Jeffrey Earnhardt will compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on a full-time basis.
The No. 44 Chevrolet Camaro from Alpha Prime Racing will be driven by a fourth-generation NASCAR racer.
He competes in NASCAR’s top three divisions since 2009 and has made over 200 combined starts. He is the son of Kerry and the grandson of the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Since finishing 18th in the rankings at the end of the 2014 season, the 33-year-old hasn’t competed in every NXS race, though. With a career-best finish of second at Talladega just this past year, he has 144 career starts and has scored two top-fives and five top-ten finishes. With Richard Childress Racing as his team, he earned his lone pole position in that particular race.
Additionally, Earnhardt has made 76 Cup starts, finishing eleventh in his best performance.
APR President Tommy Joe Martins said in a statement from the team, “We’re so excited to have Jeffrey with us next season.” “Jeffrey has been a competitor and a friend to me for a few years now. When Caesar and I started this team last year, we both talked about having Jeffrey at the top of our roster – so to see this all come together for 2023, he and I both feel like we finally got our guy.”
At the Xfinity level, Earnhardt drove for 3 different teams for the rest of the 2022 season.
ForeverLawn was the main sponsor of the majority of those events, and they will support him in a number of races again the following year.
Sage Karam, who had a top finish of fifth at Daytona last season, was the most productive racer for Alpha Prime Racing in the No. 44 car.
