With an accident on Friday at the Monaco Grand Prix, Daniel Ricciardo’s dismal beginning for the 2022 season continues.
The weekend leading up to the Monaco Grand Prix has changed for Daniel Ricciardo following a bad accident at the Circuit de Monaco’s swimming pool segment.
Ricciardo and driver Lando Norris did well within the top 10 throughout Free Practice 1, giving McLaren a positive beginning for the weekend.
However, the Australian lost all control of his MCL36 on his first push lap of Friday’s FP2 practise and slammed into the wall.
After FP2 accident, McLaren comforts Ricciardo
Ricciardo’s Friday was prematurely ended by the accident, but he was fine later. The activity was halted for over ten minutes as a result of the accident, which raised a warning.
The car will be fixed, in McLaren’s opinion, well in preparation for Saturday’s FP3 practise and a key qualifying session.
Don’t worry, we’ll fix it, his crew assured Ricciardo over the team radio.
I’ll explain when I get back, the Australian retorted, remaining mum about what had occurred.
