In Dutch GP First Practice, George Russell led a Mercedes one-two as Max Verstappen suffered difficulties.
Mercedes recovered from a disappointing Belgian Grand Prix to finish first and second in the Dutch Grand Prix in first practise, with George Russell just ahead.
While Carlos Sainz Jr. finished third at Zandvoort, Lewis Hamilton lagged behind his teammate by 0.240 seconds.
With fourth and fifth, Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo had a solid start to their weekend, and the McLaren team surprised.
Because of Max Verstappen’s early bath due to a transmission problem early in the practise, Sergio Perez finished just sixth.
The local favourite finished FP1 ahead of just Nicholas Latifi in 19th place.
