After switching to ThorSport Racing for the upcoming season, Hailie Deegan will keep going to race regularly in the NASCAR Truck Series.
ThorSport, which has raced Toyotas for the last two seasons, will once again collaborate with Ford Performance and continue to field four full-time truck teams as a result of the change.
“With 28 years in the Truck Series, we look forward to the partnership with Ford Performance in NASCAR,” said team owner Duke Thorson. “Our pursuit of wins and championships remains at the forefront of our objectives.”
Deegan, a 21-year-old native of California, will compete in the Truck Series for the third time. She raced with David Gilliland Racing throughout the last two seasons (now Tricon Garage).
Deegan has three top-10 results in 46 career series starts. Last season, she achieved a career-best sixth-place result at Talladega Superspeedway and was awarded the series’ most popular racer for a second consecutive year.
The legendary motorcross and X-Games racer Brian Deegan’s daughter, Deegan, entered Ford Performance’s racer development program after the 2019 season. She has participated in competitions across a range of sports, such as the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and the ARCA Menards Series, where she placed third in the overall rankings and was awarded rookie of the year awards in 2020.
