With a thrilling show run, Max Chilton and the McMurtry Speirling fan car grabbed attention at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
When he set a new record for the renowned Hillclimb at the Festival of Speed over the weekend, Max Chilton stunned the audience at Goodwood.
Nick Heidfeld established the previous “Timed Shootout” record in the McLaren MP4/13 F1 car over 23 years ago, but Chilton, driving the McMurtry Speirling fan car, beat it by more than two seconds with a run of 39.08 seconds.
From Romain Dumas with the Volkswagen ID.R, the former F1 and IndyCar racer also takes the overall Hillclimb record.
