Charles Leclerc’s race-ending collision and Carlos Sainz’s ascent to fifth place from the back of the grid marked a race of divergent fortunes for the Ferrari racers in France.
Following Charles Leclerc’s controversial withdrawal from the lead of the French Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz has spoken out in Charles’ defence as a colleague at Ferrari.
After racing “extremely well” throughout the 2022 season thus far, Sainz defended his teammate for a “typical” error in a clip message posted on Ferrari’s social media accounts.
